Activities

The project aims to deliver teaching and training materials on emerging topics, to be used in several horticulture master programs by partner organizations. These materials could be integrated entirely in some courses where the timeframe allows or just as modules, just some chapters, according with the particularity of each course.

There are five types of different activities that we will undertake in this project:

  • TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETINGS. There will be five TPM during the 30 months of implementation, with two persons responsible for management and implementation from each partner.

  • Seven INTELECTUAL OUTPUTS will be developed during the project implementation, having master students and teaching and non-teaching staff as target groups
  • O1 `Nutritional quality of horticultural products` handbook, led by Romanian partner,
  • O2 `Chemical pesticide-free horticulture` handbook – led by Bulgarian partner,
  • O3 `Sustainable use of pesticides and their residues monitoring` handbook, led by Romanian partner,
  • O4 `Urban horticulture` handbook, led by Bulgarian partner,
  • O5 `Sustainable use of pesticides. Easing the way for a chemical-free horticulture` movie, led by the Turkish partner,
  • O6 `Urban horticulture, a tool for a better living environment` movie, led by Bulgarian partner.
  • O7 `Hort4EUGren Online platform`, led by Romanian partner.
  • Five LEARNING, TEACHING, AND TRAINING ACTIVITIES activities will take place for partner organization staff, and two will be delivered for target groups outside our institutions. Four short-term joint training of five days, in each partner country and one intensive short-term training of one month, will be organized. In the second and third year two summer school for Horticulture Master and PhD students in Bucharest and Sofia, will take place.

  • Two MULTIPLIER EVENTS will be organized in Romania and Bulgaria, presenting all project results, targeting horticulture master students and professors, but also interested stakeholders, as business owners, farmers, administrative bodies etc.
